"the reality of it is that we all get stressed, hurt, sad, happy, overwhelmed, and more on a daily basis. no matter how much we don't want to admit it, life is hard, and all the emotions and thoughts we have to sift through in order to make it can be a lot on one person. therapy provides the safest outlet as well as solutions for coping with life. there's nothing negative about it."

the story.
The Premier Benefit & Birthday Bash, founded and hosted by singer-songwriter, Mallory, is an upscale birthday party, which celebrates her birthday, while raising funds to send BIPOC young adults to therapy. having her own experiences with depression and anxiety, Henderson finds it of the highest importance for young adults and BIPOC communities to recognize the growing stresses and triggers within their daily lives. she wants people to realize that mental healthcare is just as important as physical health and that it has no one face.
since 2016, The Premier has raised over $6,000 and supported non-profits like NAMI before transitioning to sending minority young adults directly to therapy. the goal is to take over houston as one of the most known annual events, spreading knowledge and urgency about bettering BIPOC mental health.
